Handcrafted vase with borosilicate glass and colorful stone sustainably made using Tuscan and Venetian rocks. Inspired by "Cochleae" snails, the vase features two distinct materials not joined together, making it a unique design. Each piece is handmade and characterized by an irregular surface that may have holes, gouges, or jagged edges, featuring an organic and unique appearance.
The Cochleae vases collection is inspired by snails' life cycles. The design captures their growth, with the curved glass representing the invertebrate's body and the semicircular stone components symbolizing the embracing shell.
The stone, a testament to our commitment to sustainability, is meticulously handcrafted from fragments of natural Italian rocks sourced from Tuscany and Veneto. This innovative material, inspired by ancient Roman techniques, is truly one-of-a-kind as it does not contain glue or cement. It is dried naturally in the open air, under the sun, to ensure ever greater environmental sustainability. The surface of the handcrafted stone piece is treated with an ecological substance developed by COKI. The glass and stone components are not glued and can be separate, disassembled, and ready for new uses.
